There are 60 different treatments available, including baleotherapy and physiotherapy, as well as mechano- and kinesiotherapy. THE HISTORY OF PIESTANY SPA

The first spa houses were built in 1778. In 1813 they were hit by a flood, which seriously damaged them. The reconstruction was completed in 1820, and at the same time the spacious park was expanded and built. The healing spa began operating here in 1830. From 1889 the Winter family leased the spa, and it was at this time that the spa gained its international fame and was visited by countless celebrities and artists. The last Austrian Emperor Charles I and the German Emperor William II came to Piešťany. Also the Bulgarian Tsar Ferdinand I. Until the First World War, Piešťany was considered one of the leading European spas for the treatment of rheumatism.
